About Foras na Gaeilge
Foras na Gaeilge plays a role in advising governments, north and south, and public bodies and other groups in the private and voluntary sectors in all matters relating to the Irish language. They provide funding supports across several sectors and through various scheme and initiatives, one such initiative being Gnó Means Business, which focuses on the function and the use of the Irish language in a business capacity.
The aim is to provide a central source of information to other related parties who wish to use the Irish language as a practical and productive business tool. Through their Business Support Scheme Foras na Gaeilge provide financial support to SMEs who wish to use Irish in a business context through bilingual signage, packaging, websites and printed marketing material, and entitles them to seek up to 50% of the total cost, up to €3,000/£2,700.
